What's the best way to get an alcoholic to sleep before he gets nasty?
Answer:
Wow, what he should take to fall asleep isn't really the issue here, I think you need to move out!
Are you talking about him taking something volutarily? Or are you talking about slipping something into his drink (which is highly illegal). When people are drunk, they usually just want to keep partying so he is unlikely to agree to take something that will make him fall asleep.
Anyway, like I said before, what he should take isn't the issue. The issue is his inability to control himself while drunk. Tell him how his behaviour is affecting you and if he refuses to get the help he needs, it's time for you to find a new flatmate.
Nothing. It's not good to mix liquor with most things. I suggest you support your friend and encourage him to seek help. You also might consider getting a new roommate or moving out.
ummm how bout he tries not drinkin lol or if hes drinking liquor try switching to beer liquor gives ppl a mean streak anyway good luck with that
Nothing. Just stay out of his way. Then when he's sober talk about. Maybe you will have to find a new roomate. I used to get crazy evil drunk sometimes and the only people that could stop me were..the police.
I'd get this yob to a 12-step program ASAP...
Xanax or a baseball bat.Either way they will be out cold!!
I prefer a crowbar, lightly applied.
Sounds like you need a new roomie, if your in a college you can easy make a complaint and be switch if not I would look for someone else. I wouldn't encourage mixing anything to his already dangerous addiction. He's already at risk adding anything to the mix will just make things worse. If you know he's going to be out drinking lock your bedroom door or try and sleep out. Bring it to his attention when he is sober about how his behavior is dangerous and is effecting you and you can't be subject to such behavior. If it becomes where your fearful call the police and let him sober up on there time. You need to be firm, he can also call 1-800-ALCOHOL it's a 24 hour referral hotline.

Create an environment that discourages drinking.Leave him alone when he's drinking.Refuse to drink with him. Is he an alcoholic? Does he eat while he's drinking? encourage him to decrease his alcohol intake.
