How do you de-ionize water?
Answer:
The way it is done is by way of passing the water through an ion exchange resin. there are two types of resins. cation exchange resin which removes negative ions and anion exchange resin which removes positive ions. The water is usually plut through many times to remove as much of the ions as possible.
You could also distill some water. If you place some water in a flask and set it up on a distillation apparatus, you will evaporate then water leaving all of the ions behind. Then the evaporated water will condense as pure water with no ions remaining..
By use of pressure to force it through an osmotic membrane. This is cheaper than distillation, but not as effective.
It is done with ion exchange resins. There are two major types: cation exchange resins and anion exchange resins. You must run the water through each type at least once (and not at the same time).

hello nu..be, welcome, i'd look up ionize first and then de-ionize in the book. or ask your water company
Pass it down an ion exchange column. Another method is distillation.
its a process of exchanging- ion by removing it from a solution
