What is Zyklon-B?

Answer:
Zyklon-B was a trademark for a cyanide-based insecticide which was used by Nazi Germany in the gas chambers of Auschwitz and Majdanek.
It was basically hydrocianic acid (a solution of hydrogen cyanide, which is a gasn, in water) absorbed on solid pellets of some other material, and sealed in air-tight jars. When opened, hydrogen cyanide would evolve.
