What are some ways i can do to indentify Lead nitrate?(mystery test tube lab)?

what are some ways (precipitate, etc) i can add to lead nitrate to confirm its prescence? i can only use HCl NaOH NH3 and PH paper.

Answer:
Add some hydrochloric acid to lead nitrate.
Lead chloride, which is insoluble, will precipitate out from the solution.

You can then use sulphuric acid as lead sulphate is also insoluble and will hence precipitate out too.

If it precipitates for both acids, it must be lead nitrate.
pretty sure its NaOH to form a precipitate
Lead nitrate can be known by leaving it in open for a while.Due to the presence lead in the salt will turn black, beacuse of oxidation in open air.
Lead can also be know by ading HCl in it.it gives white ppt.

well, with your chemicals, i dont know for checking the presence of nitrate.Though nitrate can be known by adding concentrated sulphuric acid, you will observebrown fumes in air and in that when you add a small piece of paper, the fumes will intensify. It can also be confirmed by adding sulphuric acid and ferric chloride, u will observe a brown ring at the botton.
i just did a lab like this. Add it to NaOH, which will produce ppt., PbOH. The ppt. should be a whitish gray, i think.
Pb (NO3)2 + 2NaOH...>>>>Pb(OH)2 + 2 NaNO3

The lead hydroxide is insoluble so will precipitate out.
drink it. if you die, you can be sure it's lead nitrate!
