How is electricity produced in only a second?

Answer:
Quite a bit less than a second. The power company is giving the electrons in your wires a push every 1/60 of a second. They use spinning magnets at their generating plants to giv the electromagnetic push. The electrons of the atoms of the copper wire react to the push almost at the speed of light.
The more serious and interesting question is why can you change a light particle from velocity = 0 to velocity = speed of light with only the small amount of power used to turn on a light. if. F=MA Have fun
Hydro
Thermo
Neuclear
Wind...
Lightning :)
I'm not asking how electricity is produced, but rather how it can be produced in /a second/.

Im not sure your question was stated properly. how electricity is produced and how it can be produced.. is the same. in a second... an electric generator that has been turned off which is turned back on produces faint ammounts of electricity within a second. Maybe your question has to do with how to replicate electricity in the exact pattern to which it has once existed. I'm not sure but you're going to have to word it better :/ That's all I have.
