Write a balanced chemical equation to represent the oxidation of ethanol?

Answer:
As free permanganic acid, HMnO4, is very unstable, its anhydride, manganese(VII) oxide (manganese heptoxide) Mn2O7 , can be obtained by the careful application of sulphuric acid to dry KMnO4 at room temperature. This produces a volatile, green-looking, shiny oil. On warming, or upon contact with organic substances (e.g. ethanol), it explodes into flames. The following oxidation equation simplifies the complex reaction path.

H2SO4 ( Konz.)
2MnO4- + 2H+ --------------------> Mn2O7 +H2O;

2Mn2O7 + C2H5OH -------------> 4MnO2 +2CO2 + 3H2O;
C2H5OH + 3 O2 ---- 2 CO2 + 3 H2O
CH3CH2OH+H2O ---> CH3COOH+4H++4e-
C2H5OH+O2=CH3CHO+2H2O
C2H5OH----->CH3COOH(ethanoic acid)
condition: (K2Cr2O7/H+ or KMnO4/H+)act as oxidising agent,and heat is require too

i can sure i am right...hehehe
