try a supersaturation lab with sodium acetate. It can easily be obtained by reacting 750ml of 8% vinegar with 82 grams of baking soda. then boil down solution to approx. 150 ml and there is a super saturated solution of sodium acetate. now pour the solution on a pile of salt and a pile of sodium acetate will precipitate out of the solution. if you pour it slowly a pretty large mound can be made. its fun and slightly easy!
u can tryany one of the following experiments(try with caution and take every safetyprecaution that has to be taken)
1) Esterification of Salicylic acid(ortho hydroxy benzoic acid) with methanol and taking the sweet smell of the methyl salicylate so formed (has a smell of iodex)
2)Since ur interested in titration u can do an demonstrating experiment.The oxidationof oxalic acid with KMnO4and hence demonstrate the loss of the purplecolour of the salt.
3)treatment of Salicylic acid with neutral Ferric chloride till a purple coloured chelate is formed.
