How to find mass from an Osmotic pressure.?
I really appreciate the help and answers from everyone, especially Ren Hoek and Dr.A
With your help I have been able to see a sample problem then complete the other ka-zillion problems of the same type. Thanks again.
Pi=MRT
Also isn't M equal to mols of solute over Liters of solution, right?
Answer:
V = 262 mL = 0.262 L
p = 30.3 / 760 = 0.0399 atm
T = 35 + 273 = 308 K
osmotic pressure = n RT / V
n = osmotic pressure x V / RT =
= 0.0399 x 0.262 / 0.0821 x 308 = 0.000413 moles
molar mass = 1.22 / 0.000413 = 2953 g/mol
To get molar mass you can also use this formula :
MM = grams x 0.0821 x T(K) / osmotic pressure x volume
Molarity = moles solute / L solution
i am pretty sure, that the modulator of the 3rd osmosis can react if the specifics are alligned with cheez.
