Find the vapor pressure of an aqueous (water as the solvent) solution in which the mole fraction of Hg...?

(CLO3)2 is 0.224 at 25 degrees celcuis. the vapor pressure of pure water at 25 degrees celcuis is 23.8 mm Hg.

Answer:
We use Raoult's law
Pa = P°aXa
If the mole fraction of Hg(ClO3) is 0.224
the mole fraction of water is 1 - 0.224 = 0.776
Pa = 23.8 x 0.776 = 18.5 torr
