Is the following reaction endothermic or exothermic and why?

HSO4-(aq) + H20 (I) = H30^+(aq) + O4^2-

Answer:
Neither, it is an equilibrium partition, so it is going at the same rate forwards and backwards.

Now if you were diluting concentrated sulfuric acid, that would be a exothermic reaction. There you would have more H2SO4 disassociating than the reverse reaction.
