Do firework's affect the air at all?

They leave smoke behind, and I was just wondering if they're are in any way harmful to the air.

Answer:
They leave behind sulfurous gases, but it is kind of like shooting a black powder gun..the gases are naturally in our atmosphere already therefore it is not enough to affect the environment. Hence they will diffuse fairly rapidly without causing damage.
The smoke diffuses rapidly and degrades soon into common chemicals that the Earth is always deaing with.
They do create some pollution. But, it will clear up very quickly in 1-2 days.

July 4th type fireworks on a daily basis would definitely be harmful.
