Enzyme lactoperoxidase?

what is enzyme lactoperoxidase? what's the function? where I can have more information about this enzyme?

Answer:
lactoperoxidase enzyme is of two types :- basic and acidic.
basic has more practical importance.
it is found in milk. for pasteurising milk is held at 63 deg C for 30 mins. coincincidently lactoperoxidase also get denatured at 63 deg C only.
it is used to check weather milk is properly pasteurised or not.if basic lactoperoxidase is found denatured then milk is properly pasteurised otherwise.
but sometimes it again get activated in cold temp.
A peroxidase obtained from milk. It also catalyzes the oxidation of iodide to iodine.
