Can human swim in kerosene?

gk

Answer:
No, people would sink, unescapable, since water goes to the bottom if you have a jar with kerosene and water in it...the water is at the bottom, kerosene is at the top...it is the density nature of the chemicals that don't mix.

People, being made of mostly water, would sink, without any chance of swimming in such a horrible death..The same for gasoline, petrol, or motor oil..
Sure, why wouldn't they. They'd probably eventually pass out from the fumes, or they'd be finished if it ignited, but sure, they could swim in it.

And to those saying you can't because you can't float. Can an airplane fly? "Swimming" isn't "floating". Using your hands and feets you can create lift in that medium. Remember, it is only relatively SLIGHTY less dense than water, it's not like trying to swim in air.
It is slightly less dense than pure water, but I would guess you could stay afloat for some time.
WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO?
Yeah, but they wouldn't enjoy it.
Why so many thumbs down for kaliroadrager?

She's probably right.
