How would you obtain salt from a mixture of salt and chalk?
Answer:
Assuming that this is something you do not have to do, I would tell you to pour the mixture in a container of water. As you stir the mixture, the salt will dissolve into the water, since it is aqueous. However, the chalk will not. Filter out the chalk using some sort of strainer or cloth, and let the salt water evaporate. As the water evaporates, it will leave behind the salt, since salt doesn't evaporate. Although the salt will not be in mini salt cubes, it will still be in a usable form.
they each have different boiling points! boil it until all the chalk has evaporated!

mix with water, filter out the chalk, then evaporate the water which will leave the salt behind
