Copper (I) Chromate??

what is the chemical formula?

Answer:
A formula for a compound called Copper (I) Chromate could be Cu2CrO4. Oxygen only has an oxidation state of -2. Copper can have an oxidation of +1 or +2. Chromium has several oxidation states. But in chromium atoms, the oxidation state is +6. Copper (II) chromate is CuCrO4. The Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) of the American Chemical Society doesn’t list a formula for copper(I) chromate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/list_of_cas...
according to me its Cu2 Cr O4
coz chromate has a valency of 2 n Cu(1) hs 1.
