Heat it slowly to evaporate off the excess water and form the sodium acetate salt.
For the hot ice trick:
- warm some water in a pan
- add the sodium acetate into the pan until no more will dissolve
- keep stirring themixture slowly until all of it dissolves
- cool the solution in the fridge for a while (until it's cool)
- pour out into a small container, touch and watch.
