Why does benzene dont behave like an unsaturated compound even though it contains 3 alternating double bonds?

Answer:
Because the electrons in the ring are evenly distributed.
Benzene behaves very similar to short-chained unsaturated hydrocarbons in many ways. it also behaves, in certain reaction profiles, unlike many us-hydrocarbons. if you could be more specific as to an aspect in which you are curious, i could help a little more
Though benzene has 3 double bonds it does not react like an unsaturated compounds since there are six electrons which can not be assigned to a definite double bouds . These electrons are delocalized over the cycle and form two clouds above and under the frame formes by the cycle with 6 carbon atoms. these fact is called delocalization.
A representation with 3 double bouds lead you astray and should not be used
