For the endothermic reaction N2O4(g) 2NO2(g) what is the effect of doubling the volume of the reaction vessel
the reaction will shift left to right
the reaction will shift right to left
there will be no further reaction
what happens depends on the temperature
Answer:
Its been awhile, but here's my analogy:
Endothermic is a rxn that absorbs energy in the form of heat. Here, the volume is increasing, and assuming the pressure remains constant, the temperature will go up (by PV ~ T). My guess would be it will shift to the right (by Le Chateliers Principle).
