While the idea of nano-computers and nano-robots are still very far off, we've been able to create simple nano-devices such as switches and gears. These are first steps toward more complicated devices. We've also been able to apply nanotechnology to create new materials with new properties. These new materials are being applied to things as diverse as drug delivery and smart screens.
