Substances whose particles pass through filters but cannot pass through semipermeable membranes are called?

Answer:
Colloids

Colloids
they are colloidal in nature... hence called colloids... these have a size of 10^-6 to 10^-9m... normal filter size is 10^-10m... but for semipermeable membranes it is less than 10^-5m... hence they can pass or filter thro ordinary filters but cant pass thro semipermeable membranes... its all due to their molecular sizes only...
