Sodium acetate in a store?

i herd about geting sodium acetate in a hand warmer?
what do i do wit hthe stuff after i get it out of the hand warmer

Answer:
It depends on what you're trying to do.

Sodium acetate (for the billionth time. It seems like everyone's asking for sodium acetate) can also be produced by mixing vinegar and baking soda and boiling/evaporating the water.
Following up on the previous answer, you add baking soda just until it does not fizz any more. Be careful, it can spatter stuff in your face. Even though these are grocery store chemicals you can get hurt. Wear safety glasses. And before you boil off the water, run the solution through a coffee filter. That will get rid of the fine dust and other crap that will nucleate crystallization and prevent you from forming a supercooled solution of sodium acetate which is what you need for your hand warmer.
