Ap chemistry?

i'm taking ap chem next year. doin summer hwk and all =]

what should i know about the class? its two periods long so how do we fill in alllllll that time? r there a lot of labs? is the ap exam easy? is the class easy?

Answer:
AP is challenging but if you like the subject and will be able to comprehend it, then it won't be as rough. In most schools you have two periods, one is regular class session and the other is for a lab. Or the half of the first class can be a regular while your teacher uses the rest for a really long lab. It all depends on the curriculum. In my school we had labs every 2-3 days a week Mon, Wed, and Friday. We had to take note of what we did for the lab - hypothesis, procedure, conclusion, etc. - as well as do the assignment the teacher assigned.

The labs are meant for exercise, to enable the teacher to know that you have a clue of what you are doing. It will be a lot easier if you understand and comprehend the material - the formulas, etc.- rather than just try to memorize it. Study and KNOW the material, again, the exam won't be as tough. It's all up to you to make the class as "easy" as possible. Study and you'll be okay, don't study and just try to memorize, then it will be a lot more difficult.

Good luck!
You can always count on your friends at FunQA.coms to do your homework for you. But of course then you're screwed on the test because you won't know jack.
it depends on your teacher

some teachers will spend time lecturing while others may make you read texts yourself

there are a good number of AP required labs (ones that can show up on the AP exam), and your teacher may add more. labs can take up a good deal of class time

the ease of the AP depends on how well you understand the material and the questions. some questions you may find easier to answer than others. just remember to start studying for the exam at least a month before it and get a couple good night sleep before it too (studying right before you go to sleep can help...sleeping is your body's way of converting short term to long term memory)
The harder your class is, the easier the exam will be.

That said, if your class is sufficiently interesting, two periods will be utterly inadequate.

The worst case situation is that you have few labs, easy material, and find yourself overwhelmed on the exam. However, you seem to be in good hands if your teacher gives summer homework.
