Protons and electrons?

can anyone describe how protons and electrons affect charge

Answer:
To briefly sum it:
protons: + charge
electrons: - charge

The more protons there are, the more positive the atom is. Therefore, the more electrons there are, the more negative the atom is. If the protons in an atom outnumber the electrons, then the atom has a positive charge. The same way goes for electrons as well.
Protons are considered to have a +1 charge

Electrons are considered to have a -1 charge

So, an object's or area's charge can be found by subtracting the number of electrons from the number of protons. If the numbers are the same then the charge is 0 or neutral.

In electricity and in chemical bonding, charges are all caused by the movement of electrons.
