Chem problem?

a) if 4.0 mL of 0.30 M Kl is mixed with 1.0 mL of deionized water, 1.0 mL of buffer solutions, 1.0 mL of 0.02 M Na2S2O3 and 3.0 mL of H2O2. what is the initial molar concentration of I ( at time = 0, before reaction)

b) How many moles of I2 are generated in the reation during the time lapse of the rate measurement?

Answer:
a) 4.0mL*0.30M/(4+1+1+1+3)mL=0.12...

b)I presume you mean until it starts turning blue.
This happens when all the Na2S2O3 (sodium thiosulfate) has reacted.
The reaction stoichiometry is 1mol of I2 to 2 mol of Na2S2O3.
You have 0.0010L x 0.02M thiosulfate, which is 0.00002 mol.
I2 which reacts with thiosulfate is half of this amount: 0.00001mol.
