Is demand curve downward sloping discuss.?

the option i gave is what am asking.

Answer:
The demand curve is downward sloping because of the law of demand that states that "at higher prices less will be demanded of the good and at lower prices more will be demanded"
However there is such a thing as an upward sloping demand curve for luxury and giffen goods. Luxury goods are also known as status symbol goods which are goods that people buy because of their high prices. Giffen goods are extremely inferior goods (like potatoes during the irish potato famine) which people buy more of the more the price increases because there is little else they can buy.
