Shop keeper economy we live in it cut out the poor .?

Answer:
It is the poor who work in shops as shop keepers and earn their livelihood, it is the poor who account for the largest proportion of salary/ wage and interest earners in all economies, It is the poor who consumes the largest amount of grians, the largest quantity of vegetables, the largest voluome of water, the largest amount of sunshine. It is poor who gives lucrative employment opportunities in poverty eradication - from thinking to researching, from vote collection to politics. Everyone including shops his / her own interest in the name of the wretshed poor. How can the shop keeper econmy cut off the poor. Poor is the invisible force that drives the fourishing businesses of any economy.
Alas how long will the icon of the poor contiue to make people with apparently greater hearts than branis keep the poor stay poor.
Having read bs'n's reply. What more can I say. Very eloquently put bs'n!
Shop keepers are just part of an efficient market mechanism for intermediating between people who make things and people who want to buy them. Its got nothing to do with the distribution of wealth and income - all countries in the world have shopkeepers, whatever the proportion of poor.
And in fact we dont live in such a society anyway in the UK. These days most people work in providing services: health, education, entertainment, finance etc. Not in making things or selling them. And increasingly people are using the internet to buy direct and do away with the middle man. That will mean a more efficient economy.
To avoid being poor you need some sort of skill or knowledge or be willing to perform some sort of service that other people are willing to pay for. There will always be poor because who dont have any abilities and/or arent willing or able to work at what people would employ them for.
