How do you work out the net operating profit of a company if it isn't given to you?

on the asx website it has all this information about a company but not its net operating profit... and i need it! is there formula or way of working it out? is it on the site and im looking in the wrong place? please help!

Answer:
Well you need more information. If you want to calculate the profits you need to know how much money they earned overall, and subtract the costs from that.

It will be virtually impossible for you to calculate it, because you'd need all the info, different kinds of costs. Don't try it.

It might be an idea to just call them and ask!
if it's a public company, then its easy to know their operating profit. but im not sure you can find that kind of information on its site. try looking for their prospectus, it has eveyting inside. even gross profit, how much the tax are and so on...
good luck finding!
