Economic system of Iraq?

What is the system : market, traditional, or command?

Answer:
Before the war it was a mixture of market and command. General retailing, etc, was a market economy and large investment (although it hadn't occurred since the war in 1990-91) was command.


I suppose that currently it is more of the same, only with the investment being handled by the United States.
Its the system of chaos at the moment. Read the news.

BTW- There is no such thing as a "traditional" system, unless ur referring to tribal economies like barter or service-exchange. Its just a pure market economy that's undeveloped.
I think that the economic sistem of Iraq is yet to be rebuilt and hopefully it will be a free market economy.

It will, of course, depend on the outcome of the current situation within the country.
