Why do so many people feel doctors are overpaid and nurses and teachers make so little?
If it is acceptable for movie stars, musicians and athletes to make millions, why do so many people feel doctors are overpaid and nurses and teachers make so little?
Answer:
there are misconceptions people have! in fact, yes, the teachers in this nation are the ones who lay the foundation!! for the future doctors in this country! and the nurses, do in fact, do a lot of the work of doctors so they should be compensated better also! our values as a society are so messed up, we support people like these entertainers, and amke them millionaires, whil the important people in society get left out! not just teachers, either! what about the police, sheriffs, and firemen? don't they deserve better money?amercas values and morals are messed up! we have misplaced priorities! rock stars are not!! vital to society!
teachers do make little money for what they do: setting the foundation for this nation's future. doctors are slightly overpaid, but keep in mind, their malpractice insurance is through the roof.
It's not acceptable for anyone to make millions of dollars just for entertaining people. Doctors' salaries are fine. Teachers need to be paid more. If these people all earned what doctors make, I'd be satisifed.
I've worked as a school janitor, so I've seen how late teachers really do have to stay and what they buy for their classes with their own money. They are definitely underpaid. Nurses do a lot of very hard work, most of the legwork, they are the ones who respond to patients first, although they do make good money. I still think they deserve more, though. Whereas there are docs who are only in their clinics 2-3 days a week (not all docs, but some I have tried to get an appointment with), whereas nurses are much more likely to have to work full, and sometimes double shifts. And the nurses in the hospitals usually have to rotate days and nights. And I don't think what some athletes are paid is acceptable- it's way too high.
