yes. 1 Euro is worth more than 1 dollar. A Euro is worth about $1.35, but I haven't followed the currency in about a month, and I'm too lazy to check.
But... people measure value of a currency by direction as well... For example, the dollar is worth far more than a Japanese yen, but the yen is stronger...It's more stable, and you would rather have your money in yen than dollars... for the time being. In 2002, the Euro was worth .70, but now it's 1.40. Can you imaginie if you had bought all those Euro?

More stable, definitively. The US dollar barely qualifies as money. It has value just like a box of fresh meat. Given enough time both the meat and the dolar will rot.
Ask yourself this: Why is the dollar valuable? You can buy stuff with it. Yeah, chinese stuff, middle eastern stuff, japanese stuff, mexican stuff, european stuff...
