Bill gates is the richest person in the world. Who is the poorest person in the world?
Answer:
We wouldn't know because the world doesn't care about the poor people. The world only cares about the lives of the rich and famous..good question, nevertheless.
still Bill Gates
I would say the homeless guy on the street who spends the money that he begs for on heroin.
But seriously, it's probably me.
I would guess someone who is homeless and does not have a penny to their name or anything to sell for money. They would be the poorest person. It would probibly be a tie, because I a lot of people are like that.
I do not think that a single person could be identified as the poorest person globally, but more than like would labled as group such as certain people in Africa, etc.
A child in a third world country.
I guess you would have to define rich and poor. For some people, their money is how they define their wealth. For others, wealth is defined entirely different.
Those who have to spend 4.00 on gas.
All of the people who have no money at all, which I believe is tens of millions of people.
It's called "extreme poverty" and includes waking up in the morning not knowing whether or not you're going to eat today.
There was a plan floating around that claimed it would cut that number of people in half in 10 years.
Too bad there aren't enough people who know about it to push through the support it needs (tens of millions of dollars, which, in terms governments spends is chickenfeed).
It is a tie between all the losers who waste their time hating rich people, as opposed to trying to improve their own lives. They are all the poorest people in the world.
.
In strict monetary terms, it would undoubtedly be an abandoned child in any of the countries below. Just to put these figures into perspective, the GDP per capita in the US is $ 43,500.
Poorest Countries in the World
Rank Country GDP - per capita
1 Malawi $ 600
2 Somalia $ 600
3 Comoros $ 600
4 Solomon Islands $ 600
5 Congo, Democratic Republic of the $ 700
6 Burundi $ 700
7 East Timor $ 800
8 Tanzania $ 800
9 Afghanistan $ 800
10 Yemen $ 900

There can't be any single poorest man at any particular point in time because, unlike Bill Gates whose wealth can be measured, the poorest man has nothing. And there are millions of such people with nothing, except their lives and the hope that something (especially food) may come their way any how.
The poorest man has nothing. No, he has less than nothing! Such a person might be indebted, uneducated, without a penny to buy, without anything to sell and most unfortunately, hopeless.
Most of you out there who have not experienced poverty in one way or the other might not understand much about poverty. Imagine a homeless man, without any form of property, stark illiterate, hopeless and pessimistic, who is doubting which between life and death is better. That, in my opinion is the poorest man.
Right now I feel like I am the poorest person in the world, financially. I have faith, so I know I am still rich. I believe the poorest person is the one that has lost all faith. You can be rich, even when you have no money.
None of the above.
The person with the biggest debt in the world is the poorest in the world. If we measure riches by looking at the net assets of a person, then we should measure poverty the same way--by calculating the net asset of a person. A homeless man who has nothing at all would still be higher on the scale than one who has a debt that he cannot pay!
A homeless person whose net worth is just $3 is still richer than one who has a debt of $50,000,000 and has no way to get out of debt. The person who has the debt may have a house and a car and food on his table everyday (for awhile), but he is still poorer than the homeless who has no debt. We really can't tell how poor or rich someone is by just looking at them! ;-)
