Is privatisation of education is need in india?

Answer:
Privatisation of education seems to be necessary due to the following reasons :
- Lack of sufficient Government institions ;
- Lack of funds with the Governments;
- Lack of interest in the professionals in joining Govt. Institutions;
- Too strict Professional requirements for govt. Institutions;
- Private Co. are eager to hold the fort;
- Sufficient funds are available with the private Cos.;
- Private cos. can manage the man power requirement and professional competance ;
however, the following points go against the proposal :

- Fear of fall in the standard of the education;
- uniformity of standards will be destroyed;
- Availability of facilities for poor citizens;
- Professional competance of the teachers;
- Overall facilities may not be up to the desired level;
- Feasibility of enrolling below standard students;
- Capitation fee ;
Therefore, the government has to act as a watch dog even after accepting the privatisation of education.
