Isn't it irresponsible to spens 500 dollars for an iPhone?
Considering the poverty and homelessness in the world shouldn't we ban luxury items like this? Start forcing people to use their money in ways that provide true benifits for civilazation?
Answer:
I know! Some were $600! And half of those phones had glitches where they couldn't even be activated! I mean families in African have to live off of that for one year! That is so irresponsible!
well, ppl should spend money on themselves at times, but should donate to charity at the same time
excessiveness will never be banned, but it is irresponsible.
some people have money to burn on a phone that actually does stuff. sad, but true. you cute
well you are privellaged to be able to part with $500 for a phone, but hey you could give it to a charity or do something nice for disadvantaged kids/people
OR you have probably worked and saved hard to be able to afford this luxuary and should go and get it if your heart so desires.
Making poverty history would be a dream come true, but people can only do so much and you are here for a short time snd should enjoy your money if you are lucky enough to have any.
no, if you have the money. we can go through everyones closet and say the same. you sound like a dictator telling people what to do.
No 1 It is none of your business what I spend my money on. No. 2 following your way of thinking who makes the decision on what is a benefit to society? How bout we give all our money to the taliban. "Luxury items like this" one mans luxury is anothers need, what kind of shoes do you have? well if they cost more then $20 bucks I believe they are a luxury for that matter some african probably thinks shoes are a waste of money..Your a dumbass communist, move to North Korea and worship Kim Jong Ill,,,just to be alive in that hole is a luxury. One more thing who the hell said we are responsible for the worlds problems? You have been brainwashed and believe we are responsible for the worlds ills and pains..sorry but I don't follow that mantra. Get an education and realize the dribble you believe!!
the statement really reflects your personality, its good to spread this around perhaps one cant do the job but a collective effort may be successful. keep it up.
I think technology is running rampant and where there is a demand there is a need. As long as people who are self centered or filthy rich that demand will be there. There is no limit on how technology will advance.
Nope, let people spend thier hard earned cash how they want to. Its good to live in the USA where we have that ability. But thanks for asking! Im sure that if you gave up the "luxury" of computers and internet service you could start the revolution to "provide true benifits for civilization" And just think, the sooner you start the less people will suffer. Good luck to ya
when one wants to become a DICTATOR of how others spend their own hard earn money yes, its irresponsible. When one trades hard earned sweat money to buy something to reward oneself for the effort put in, its irresponsible, because true responsibility comes when one begs others to come and help them. proverty is not genetic, so homelessness is a deliberate act. the act of expecting others sweating to work to make money to give those who just sit around with open hands.
Because communism deosn't work unless it has a dictator.
I agree.
yea except think of where that 500$ goes. First to the corporation who then use that money to invest more money in its company which creates more jobs and creates value for shareholders. That money also goes to the producers of those individual parts of the Iphone. Spending money is one of the best things you can do in an economy.
I heard the iphone was selling for $400 ...but anyway, and I mean no offense, but why do you feel you and people should be the iphone police? While a lot of the country want fewer rules and laws you want more. I've noticed on Q&A one question where people were asked about donating and volunteering and most of the responders (and there were quite a few) and I'm sure they were young people said no they would not donate or volunteer, and that's a surprise to me. So I know there are spoiled people out there who have not been, or are not being taught finances and I know they don't have the money themselves to buy things because they are still in school and no job. But, surely you know that the US is the biggest world donator to every poverty world issue there is or has been plus individuals are donating from their personal income, so if those individuals want to splurge on an iphone then that's fine as they have done their duty to society. I can't help but wonder what your contributions have been with regard to poverty and homelessness and your benefits to civilization..
I didn't buy the iphone because I heard the batteries don't last that long and a new one costs $85, and everytime something new comes on the market it always has bugs to be worked out of it (to perfect it), but things change so often (like a computer is out of date the minute it goes on the shelf to be sold) that I didn't want to waste my money, AND I'll wait till the price comes down. Who knows, it may replace the computer.
