how does a capitalist economy work, and what are the main factor of a capitalist economy?

Supply and demand drive pricing. What is manufactured or offered as a service is not decided by a government agency (like in a command economy). There is also competition in a capitalist economy.
Most importantly capitalism has instilled motivation. In a command economy there is no motivation since price is fixed so there no incentive to go the extra mile.
