How do convince the G8 countries that more needs to be done to relieve global poverty?
Answer:
They are already fully aware of that. Until something is done to make trading between third world countries and the west fairer, there is no hope of solving global poverty.
The G8 countries don't want to try and resolve that issue because there are too many multi-national, western based companies making billions by keeping things the way they are now.
Persuade tham to pay poor countries fair prices
The should try to clamp down on corruption, or the damned politicians in whatever country gets the money, just shove it in a Swiss account and say thinks very much! The trouble is, nothing changes! The people still suffer. We just aren't used to that in this country because our politicians are so well monitored. Look how they run up huge expenses even here? The people they vote in, in Africa are usually poor people, and having the say over millions of US$ is just too much for them!! Governments have tried to get round this for 20 years, if they give the cash to charities, the governments that are corrupt, won't let them do the work!! It's a lose lose situation, I am afraid. Look at Nigeria, there is a case in point! I rest my case!! Even Arafat in Palestine died with 3 BILLION US Dollars in his bank! My doesn't that job pay well?!!!They don't give a toss ( for want of a four lettered word) about their starving, ill people, so I wouldn't give them a bank account outwith their damned countries unless they could prove it was legit?!
we will all send more money to these countries so their leaders can build bigger homes and buy bigger cars, these countries are to corrupt and we should stop dealing with them altogether, i think i will be able to survive without a few bannanas.
