Is there a website where you can compare the cost of living in various countries?

I would love to have a database where I can see how much the salary is, what the average house costs, what deductions there are, what petrol costs, groceries, etc.

Answer:
I usually use www.homefair.com... They have salary calculators that give indication of cost of living in various countries/cities. Also good is bankrate.com

its less than $2 per day for half the world, less than $1 per day for half of those

there are some folks who have farms so they can eat, money or none
