First of all, remind yourself that there might be other jobs at your office and that your boss might move on, too. If you like the general atmosphere at your workplace, try to find another position, rather than look for a brand new job.
Second, start looking around for a new job. Do some research on other companies in the area. Talk to your friends. Ask for information interviews at companies that you are interested in.
Finally, you might need a career change, if you feel bored and unchallenged. Think about going back to school in order to be qualified for more challenges.
No amount of money is worth hating your job. How can you put a price on happiness. The more money you make the more you spend and your still not going to be happy. Just figure how much money you need to live comfy and just find a different job. I'm not sure what you do but start looking for something else if you can.
