What is the poorest country in the world?

You can not choose a country as poorest absoultely. Country with lowest GDP per capita is an important factor to select a poor country. Nominal GDP ( at constant $) and PPP GDP ( means actual parchasing power of $ is counted) are given below, ( sorry data upto 2004 here) for countries with lowest GDPper capita.
But these alone are not only factors, also you can see th the persons living below poverty line, in some countries it is even above 70%.
So there is no absolute porest country, but you can find out the most poor countries from these tables.

By GDP per capita (@purchasing power parity) it's Malawi .
By nominal GDP per capita it's Burundi.
I remember reading somewhere that, taking lots of factors into consideration (such as future economic potential, natural resources etc) that it was Malawi. I travelled there in 2000, and it certainly seems right...
