If you were to choose to live in Europe (France for ex) or USA which one would you choose and why ?

Please answer ONLY if you have been to Europe OR have studied about it .

Answer:
I would live in Europe!

The fact that you're assuming I have a choice means I can afford either place; So, Europe is about 30 to 40% lower overall than is the US, although one usually cannot own a car there owing to gasoline prices.

But I would locate centrally, in Budapest, and be within 12 hours by train, or a possible easy bus ride or a plane flight to anywhere I really want to go.

I would have to give up fake news, pseudo-theocratic political stupidities, failed newsmen's attempts to deal with imperial presidential lies, the artistic absurdity of parody TV programs, and the lack of classical music, intellectual honesty, and updates on celebrities who have done nothing to earn importance, notice or even ten seconds of 'fame".

Also, I would also be able to travel to the Mediterranean, buy books in England, eat better than I ever could here and stroll places where history goes back more than 40 years; in nations where art is a national treasure, not a national disgrace.

Life wouldn't be perfect; but if I have to live in an oligarchy, I prefer one where post cards show something worthwhile that is man-made and there is a culture, not a cult of obsessive political obedience.

Ands
Live in Mayfair with school friends for 3 months & 2 months on the lower slopes of monmatre with another school friend. London sucks. Paris less so.

I pick Monmatre, despite my poor French - the French ARE very nice people, if you talk politely to them in French. I've always wanted to try Barcelona. But I never went to school with anyone from Barcelona (Madrid yes. Barcelona no). I do have an open invitation still open to stay with friends in Tehran..it's been open for 20 years. They were nice guys in high school, but.....

But I've lived in Phoenix for 15 years & loved it enough to become a US citizen in 2004.
Definately Italy. Italy is seriously a beautiful country. i'm not too knowledgeable on their gov't and politics, but it's so nice there...
You might as well delete your second sentence, since almost everyone here has either been or studied Europe at some point in their lives.

Your question, I would choose Europe - Kiev in the Ukraine specifically for having an interest about the country both politically and culturally.

And anyone who has ever followed the questions I answer will know by now that I have vowed never to set foot on american soil for the way I personally despise the nation.
I think the USA. I've lived all over the world and the problem with Europe is all the damn Europeans.
europe
more open spaces
less clastrophobia
I live in France, and lived in Greece before that (I'm an American.)

I could live in either - there are things I miss about the States, especially my family and 24 hour grocery stores, also the ease of getting a good job. I'm not complaining about the work situation, it is entirely natural that it's more difficult for me to find work in a foreign country than in my home country.

If I were in the states I would miss the frequency of smaller shops vs. multi-nationals, the experience of stretching my boundaries and learning new languages, and seeing the states from afar.

I wouldn't miss the expats, particularly the vulture-types. Nor would I miss everything being a struggle.
