Do you believe Capitalism is the reason that US Healthcare is the lowest ranked of all industrializedcountries
Answer:
Excuse me? We aren't at the bottom, but ranked 35th or so. The problem is we have shifted over to a "for profit" health care system. As long as it is in the business of making (not spending) money, people will be refused care because of some insurance company bottom line, and THAT is what is bad about our health care system. The quality of care is among the very best, IF you can get it, i.e., pay for it. And that is why we are ranked so low, because it is the rich who can afford the care. Blame it all on Nixon, who actively promoted the HMO business as a profit making enterprise, with government subsidies and support. Medical bills are the cause of 60% of all personal bankruptcy cases, last I heard. The only way to get reasonable care is to be rich enough to buy it or spend yourself into poverty so you qualify for public assistance programs. The rest in the middle class pay through the nose.
No, that's liberal propaganda. People form other countries come here because our health system is more reliable and advanced.
Capitalism => Innovation => New Technology => Better health system.
No, I think it's due to the lack of universal coverage and availability. Universal coverage can be provided in a capitalist society, as many European countries demonstrate.
No, it is beuraucracy (messed up spelling :P) and malpractice insurance. There is a huge magnitude of paperwork and procedural mess that eats up cost, which leaves less money for actual healthcare. Alot of healthcare providers are struggling to make it in the black because there are so many costs and hurdles PLUS they pay a ton for malpractice insurance. Many doctors are scared out of medical practice because of a fear of lawsuits.
Capitalism is not the problem. It's the "system" that is the problem.
No, the healthcare system is just very inefficient. I think that more technology should be brought into healthcare facilities to make things run more smoothly so that costs can be cut.
No capitalism is the reason we spend a greater % of our GDP on health care, than anyone else.
Firstly and most importantly, your question is not fact based. The answer goes like this.get a job..get insurance. Sometimes you pay...sometimes the employer pays. I have done both and have successfully survived the system without asking for a handout. If you are an American, be thankful you are here. If you are a legal immigrant, welcome home.
yes i do
it is obvious that they dont care for more than money and the more money you have the better treatment you recieve and the more respect you get from those treating you
