Why is the public sector often involved in providing services such as museums?



Answer:
Because that make govt. popular among voters, historians and the media and give lot of scope for leakage of taxpayers money for the benefit of a few contractors who earns from the budget of the meuseums.
B/c of liberals. They take your money and put it into things that you personally will never use, like libraries, wildlife preserves, and art grants.
Many museums and art collections were originally privately owned collections that have been gifted to the nation. Hence it now falls to the public purse to maintain them.
someone hasnt learned to make it profitable business so they have tax payers pay for it.
