U.S. goes bankrupt?

If the United States should go bankrupt. National debt being at 9 trillion and counting. U.S. government starts overprinting paper money in order to repay it debt. Etc. What would happen to Canada? Will Canada feel the impact as well? Since there is a lot of trade between the USA and Canada. Won't Canada have a big economic slowdown as well?

Also, what happened to Canada during the great depression of 1929? Nobody ever mentioned to me what happened to Canada at that time.

Answer:
Oh Yea, Canada Will be the least of your problems if the U.S. Should go Bankrupt. But That really won't ever happen,You See The whole rest of the world is Dependant upon our Currancy. The U.S. Dollar is the mark by which just about all other currency is determined on an hourly basis in some parts of the world, and definitely by the day in all others. You see if the U.S were to go bankrupt,That would mean that Everyone else is Bankrupt too,Why,Because The United States is The Most Profitable country on earth,Everyone else ,everyone else can't even compete with the U.S. So If We Are Bankrupt,Then It is The End Of The World As We Know It. Now About The country to the north Canada.Canada doesn't have much of an economy, not like the U.S.,And Yes If The United States were to go bankrupt Canada would along with the rest of the world Experience an Economic Slowdown As Well(,Maybe we should say a prayer for Canada.)
Yes, Canada and the rest of the world would have a major economic problem, since the US is the largest consumer nation in the world. There would likely be a worldwide economic depression if things really went to hell.
Canada also had a great depression in 1929, like the US and most of the rest of the world.
Forget about Canada -

If the U.S. goes bankrupt, so does the rest of the industrialized WORLD. At the time of the great depression, the U.S. (while a formatible world market player) was NOT the dominant world economic giant that it is currently. The U.S. did not reach their current status until the reconstruction after WW-II.

If the U.S. tanks, the rest of the world goes along for the ride. The only exception would be China, but they would still feel a great impact because the U.S. is one of (if not the biggest) consumer of goods from China and the rest of Asia and Europe.

They may have distain for Americans, but the rest of the world NEED us, because we out-consume almost everyone else in the world.
