What would the world be like without the invention of Paper Money?

what would it be like with out it? How did it help society?

Answer:
Wait...there's paper money???

:)
Everyone would be alot more equal in terms of money but there will always be someone trying to be in charge and money kinda controls that today.
We would trade rocks, shells, wampum, etc. In short we would barter.
There would be alot more belts being sold around the world... To keep your pants up from all the heavy change.
we would still be living like they were up to the Renaissance era(most likely still in the Dark Ages).
We'd all have pocket books to carry around our coins, but in this day I would imagine that debit and credit cards would be used even more because of the hassle of having to carry so many coins.

I think that soon the U.S. is coming out with some more dollar coins with presidents on them releasing them in the order of their presidency. I would imagine that they want us to use coins more because the life of a coin is much longer than the life of paper money.
Barter system.
Soon all of our information will be stored in a chip that will be placed under our skin on our hand or forehead. Just like we use a debit card, we'll be able to swipe our hand instead. If you don't think it's possible, think about how many of the things we use are being "swiped" these days. There is a metal strip on the back of drivers licenses, a card for you to scan to get through a turnstile at the subway, a card to get through the security door at work (for some jobs), etc... the convenience of all that in a chip under your skin is inviting because you'll never have to carry all those cards and you'll never lose them! Ofcourse if you're an amputee you can have the chip placed under your skin on your forehead. Hmmm... I read a prediction like that in a very famous, best selling book..
We would have to barter. I will be trying to sell my cow to buy potatoes and shirt and a ticket to the music consert but wouldnt know how to get my cow divided between all the various things i want to buy. I would also like to keep some of my bartering item for the wedding next month.
