Why do you think that Carbon Credits will work in resolving global warming?

I find it hard to be convinced that if company buys carbon credits will actually benefit from it. Can someone explain how a company can benefit from investing in carbon credits in the most convincing way?

Answer:
The buying and selling of carbon credits assume there are guidelines or limits on total CO2 production. If an existing plant wants to expand energy production which will produce additional CO2, the choice will be between buying credits or revamping old facility to reduce emissions enough so the meet guidelines.

No, I don't think it will do enough if the temperature rise we are seeing is due to CO2 in the atmosphere. We will need a technology breakthrough

It takes 425 of them, though.
Show me one shred of pure physical evidence that substantiates that global warming is the result of human activity? In science there must be a chain of evidence.

The global warming alarmists are simply after a power grab to get people to submit to more government authority.

If one person in America, would like to meet me in a public forum and debate the evidence I'll show up and bring the cameras so we can put this baby to rest.
Companies benefit and the overall social good benefits from this kind of arrangement because it allows companies to allocate usage of something harmful in the way that is the cheapest for the economy. If something is very beneficial to the economy, it will be worth far more to purchase the credits from someone who has them, but can't profit as much. This reduces overall emissions to whatever level we set with the credits, but does it at the lowest possible price to the economy.
