While certain ideologies may take up the fight for certain problem - the ideologies themselves did not cause the problem.
Perhaps it our own lack of education which fosters the problems and we dont recoginize the problem till its too late - then that when the ideological guys start to get involved.
I am sure that a base of over population coupled with an excessive waste problem also contributes. Our inabilities to recycle, or refusal to do so, plays an enormous part in the amount of garbage that causes our problems.
Current environmental problems are due to over population, gluttonous behavior, and lack of education on our impact to the environment.

There are liberals who don't care about the enviroment and conservatives who do.
