Polands main Imports and exports?
Answer:
Poland being a developing country does a great deal of exporting raw materials. Most notable Steel, Iron and other manufactured products. Poland is also a net exporter of processed fruit and vegetables, meat, and dairy products. Processors often rely on imports to supplement domestic supplies of wheat, feed grains, vegetable oil, and protein meals, which are generally insufficient to meet domestic demand. However, Poland is the leading producer in Europe of potatoes and rye and is one of the world's largest producers of sugar beets. Poland also is a significant producer of rapeseed, grains, hogs, and cattle. Attempts to increase domestic feed grain production are hampered by the short growing season, poor soil, and the small size of farms. So it is important to point out that although they net export a majority of these goods, their climate and environmental issues will not give them the ability to solely rely on these consumption goods for the countries livelihood.
However, being a country being in flux they are trying to gain and develop a solid infrastructure. A great deal of imports to Poland are capital goods needed for industrial retooling. Many of these are used for manufacturing and developing raw materials rather than consumption needs or uses.
Ends results are since Poland is still feeling the effects of once being a Soviet controlled country it is truly starting to show signs of thriving as a free market economy. They have a long way and are still in a "industrial revolution" boosting their infrastructure but is a place that is beginning to see a great deal of investment and global attention.
