Eco Housing Vs Super-Casino?
The UK government and Manchester City Council are determined to foist a super-casino on the people of East Manchester. Local people do not want the menial jobs, addictive gambling, sexual exploitation and organised crime this would bring.
We have come up with an alternative solution to boost the local economy, create meaningful jobs and help address the national housing crisis by bringing a manufacturing base for eco and affordable housing into the area.
Which scheme would you go with?

Come to Las Vegas. Even the low menial jobs pay enough for some one who works as a porter to earn a decent living. The money will go to the other parts of the neighbour hood, and eventually pay for housing. Housing does not encourage growth in any way accept give poor people to live somewhere while being poor.
As for manufacturing, it is a bad idea. Most places in the states (like my original home town, not Vegas.) the manufacturing sector is closing down and taking the city's economy with it and suffering major population decline (due to no jobs av available for those left with the factory work.) . While Vegas's is suffering a population boom and is constantly rising due to the overwhelming availiblity of work here (even if it is low paying and menial labor.).
