Changing our U.S. currencies to a different color, size or shape?

we sometimes hear rumors about changing theses...how would these changes affect or not the role that money plays in our economy?

they already do the change - $100, 50, 20, 10 are new (large portrait, color on front face), $5 and 1 are still old.

it might imporve the economy a bit as it is easier to tell different bills from each other, and more difficult to make fakes.
