less then a 1,000. It takes 2 to work and 2 paying bills and even then it is very hard if you don't have a good paying job! Live at home , go to college,save your money, then move out if you have a good paying job!

If you are really looking for a correct answer, then you must check with the state that you live in. Each state mandates their own income levels, and actually, they are quite generous, if you ask me. There are many things that must be taken into account. Like the state, any other income sources, do you live on your own..etc., so, like I said, if you NEED an answer, seriously, then go online, and check social services in your state of residence. First lets get one thing straight,poverty does not mean you are poor,what it means is the difference between the richest persons on top versus the persons at the bottom,if everyone in this country was poor,there wouldn't be any poverty because everyone would be in the same boat,the same can be said if everyone was rich,there are persons in this country with a car,a 40 inch color TV,gold chains hanging out of their necks,and get their nails done professionally that are below the poverty line,those same persons would be considered well off in other countries
