Role of youth in creating social awareness in india?

Answer:
In my opinion? PEACEFUL demonstration. violent protests only further the cause of the opposition. The more extreme the action the greater the distance you put between the idealists and the moderates.

Stand tall. Stand Proud. Just not too tall or too proud.

I could be wrong of course. I have been drinkin'

Yes, youth in India can play a very important role in creating social awareness in India and needs to take up this role in their own future interest. Social awareness in India is poor because of high illiteracy, low education, strong liguistic/ regional/ casteis/ religious sect divide and the operation of vote-centred politics. Indian had become frogs in the well for about 50 years since 1947. With liberalisation, globalisation, spread of TV and internet, Indians are getting increasingly aware of what happens round the World. But Petty politics and groupism affects the the process of opening up of the minds, broadening of perspectives and inculcation of real scientific apptitues (not the pseudo scentific, essentially dogmatic communist and socialist thinking that kills scientific minds and scientific tolerance). The youth must take up the role of breaking through the barriers of ignorance, meaness, corruption, blind faith in politicians, licking of boots of those in power, fear of the more competent foreigners and clinging to past glories (which is neither patriotism or nationalism). However, youth itself needs to empower itself to take up this challange. Mere wish and missionary zeal cannot bring results in the absence of competence and knowledge. The youth itself must first come out of the grip of evil association of politicians, dishonesty of teachers, propoganda of the communists and socialists, the blind faith in the scriptures, religious teachers and must reject all those who talk big about India's march to progress since 1947. The progress is hardly much. The past has elivered very little. Wile many other poor and uneducated nations have overtaken Indians by miles. Do not depend all the glib talks of seniors who have failed you and kept India so poor , so uneducated, so backward. Youth need to become competent in science, technology, economics, culture and ethos that have succeeded elsewhere: in USA, in Japan, in South Korea, in Australia, in New Zealand, in Switzerland, in Sweden. There is no point in trying to learn from other poor and backward nations like China, Indonesia, North Korea. Better is to find out why Russia, Poland, Vietnam changed course. There is no meaning of being jealous of rich and advanced countries: become equal to them through real knowledge that delivers progress of science, technology, prosperity. It is no point saying we may be poor but we all all poor in the nation and we do not like development of the Western type. That is what the incompetent and the lazy says. Youth must develop the spirit and mission of developing competence that the advanced nations will recognise ( as they have done in respect of our IT people and some others).
